Upgrading to Domino 6 server and Lotus Notes 6 client is great. But as with any other software there is always a learning curve where things are different. We are trying to bring some of those diferences to light here.

When addressing a new email...	...and choosing from your personal address book, Lotus Notes no longer 'displays' the person's internet address after you choose them, it displays their Fullname.

When in a Non-Notes program... (Win 95)	...and Notes alerts you of "new mail" (with the pop-up), clicking OK will not return you to your program of choice.

Calendar	...If you upgrade the user's mail file before upgrading their client, there will be necessary buttons missing from the Calendar views, like "New Meeting", or New anything for that matter...

Server Security	In order to be allowed to make replicas on the server, a user must first be allowed to make Databases on the server.

Server Security	In order for a user to be allowed to make Master Templates on the server, they must first be allowed to make Databases AND Replicas on the server.

Custom Address Books	...If you have any customizations in your address books (personal) and you store replicas of your address books on the server, you MAY want to UNcheck the Inheritance Option in the Database properties immediately. When the design task runs on the server at 1am, it will refresh the design of all databases on the server where that is checked.
